are the most suitable for meeting your guests, and we recommend
for a longer stay, the superior elegance of the eighth floor.
Annex :

This bar is named after the year our hotel opened. The interior

mixes. - Lobby Lounge Poplar
Poplar is a bright lounge surrounded by big windows that look
out on the four seasons in Hokkaido. A nice place at tea time,

This bar was designed with a motif from a cabin of vessels in

We serve you Qing dynasty cuisine which has a three thousand year
tradition. You will see the magnificent interior with drawnings
of cranes, as the name of the restaurant 'Kohkakurou' means 'the
yellow crane tower' which is a Chinese legend. We also offer individual
rooms. You will certainly be satisfied with the rich taste.
- Tatami-room Restaurant ICHIJO-TEI
Please enjoy the most luxurious Kaiseki-cuisine (Japanese traditional
formal dishes) in the fresh-smelling green tatami-mat room. The
interior is noble with hanging pictures and flower arrangements

Chapel "CANA" :
The chapel is named after the place 'Cana' where Christ performed
his first miracle. The stained-glass by May Morris, the cross-bolts
on the ceiling, and the solemn sound of the pipe organ, everything
in this wedding chapel is suitable for a couple who are beginning
a new life. Japanese garden :
A pure Japanese style roof garden, where we can perform an open-air
tea ceremony. In the garden of Kare-sansui, one of the traditional
Japanese garden styles, the special stones such as Kibune-stone(a
kind of granite) and Kurama-stone(a kind of biottite granite)
from Kyoto or the Shikoku area in the south of Japan are neatly
arrranged. And many trees from Hokkaido are planted to reflect
vividly the changing of the four seasons. Grand

We have an assortment of top-rank specialty stores dealing in
cosmetics, objects of folklore art, jewelry, imported clothes
and golfing goods as well as a barber shop and beauty salon.
Memorial Library :
The history, stories and goods of Hokkaido, Sapporo and our hotel
are exhibited and explained here. About 1,200 books written by
authors who are related to Hokkaido are also available. Please

Nearby Attractions
Odori Park.
Odori Park, which we call the face of Sapporo is a
green oasis in the center of the city. It runs 3.8km from east
to west and is 150m wide. Sapporo Clock Tower.
The Clock Tower, a symbol of Sapporo, was built as a theater
of the Agriculture School in the Meiji era. The bell is a sound
of nostalgia for the people of Sapporo. Hokkaido
government.
The old building of the Hokkaido prefectural government has
watched the growth of Sapporo, and has the nick name "the
Red Brick Building". Hokkaido University.
Hokkaido University was founded in 1878 at Dr.Clark's suggestion,
and you can see tall poplars and ginko trees in its vast campus.
Hokkaido University botanical garden
This was the first modern botanical garden built in Japan in
1879. You can enjoy walking in the woods in the center of a
city. Nakajima park.
Nakajima Park is a public park located near Susukino, it has
a large pond surrounded with abundant greenery. The beautiful
rose park Hyakka-en, and the Hasso-an hermitage which is recognized
as an important national cultural property are all within Nakajima
park. It is also known for its artistic atmosphere because of
the Sapporo Concert Hall 'Kitara' which is situated in the park. |
